All MedicStarterz courses are bilingual with an explanation in both English and Spanish. Our instruction also covers English grammar to enable students to have a basic understanding of medical terminology in English.
Medical Assistant
This theoretical and practical course contains several topics, such as definitions of standard of care and the laws applicable to health care; anatomy and physiology of the human body; fundamentals of medical pathology; medical terminology and duties of the assistant: medical, administrative skills and clinics, creating and organizing medical records, vital signs, measurements and assistance in the physical examination. It also includes opening and organizing a medical office, format, and content of business letters, medical insurance management, communication skills and fundamentals of a medical emergency.
Phlebotomy Technician
This course includes theoretical and practical knowledge of the history of phlebotomy, anatomy, and physiology; clinical laboratory structure; safety at work; organizations and standards; quality control; infection control; composition of blood and its derivatives; hematology; study of homeostasis; immunology and blood banking; blood chemistry; toxicology and microbiology fundamentals. The curriculum also provides expertise in the use of phlebotomy equipment and different techniques to extract blood. The students will study the most frequent complications and how to avoid them.
Massage Therapist
This course includes theoretical and practical elements in anatomy and physiology; eclectic massage techniques; fundamentals of Swedish massage; shiatsu; lymphatic drainage; deep tissue massage; reflexology and Tuina. Knowledge of biofuels, training in Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong are also provided. The course teaches the student how to open his/her own business and foundations of psychology and business administration, medical pathology and rehabilitation.
English as a Second Language for CMAs
This Theoretical and Practical course focuses on the development of proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English that are needed to perform day to days tasks. It includes instructions in the use of basic communications skills to develop and transmits ideas and thoughts. The learning process is step by step in a practical way integrating multimedia tools, music and films. Beginning with Basic Terminology, continuing with Business related vocabulary and finishing with medical terminology , the students are going to be able to effectively communicate in job interviews and workplaces.
I am happy studying this classes, are enjoyable. I am learning something new every day, the teacher is phenomenal giving the class, he makes himself understood with the explanations, videos, and software he uses. I thank God for having found MedicStarterz.

Medical Assistant classes are instructive and interesting especially due to the amazing way in which the instructor teaches us, he helps us understand everything despite the difficulty that many of us have with the english language. He tells us about current contents of medicine and alert us to solve any situation that arises when we are on practice. I think Professor Reinaldo has strong professional knowledge related to the medical field. He has been able to impart classes for several years creating awareness and responsibility in each one of us.
